BlueFletch Feature Highlight for Advance Auto Parts: How BlueFletch Enterprise Launcher integrates with Zebra Workforce Connect / Push to Talk Pro

TRANSCRIPT

Rick Makerson
Hi, I’m Rick with BlueFletch, and today’s feature highlight is our integration with Zebra’s Workforce Connect, more specifically, their Push to Talk Pro or PTT Pro solution with our enterprise launcher. Let’s get started.

PTT Pro is an invaluable tool that allows store associates to have walkie-talkie or push-to-talk capabilities over Wi-Fi or cellular. Whether you’re a small, rapidly growing company or a large enterprise PTT Pro is a tool that scales well and drives workforce connectivity. In 2019, we announced our integration with Zebra’s Workforce Connect and PTT Pro solutions, and for BlueFletch customers, they love the enhanced features that we bring to the table. Today, we will explore how Advanced Auto Parts is leveraging the BlueFletch platform to enhance its Push to Talk Pro deployment. Now let’s connect with Bruno’s Varma from Advanced Auto Parts to hear more Limnos. Could you talk to me a little bit about why Advanced Auto Parts chose Zebra’s Push to Talk Pro?

Advanced Auto Parts
So Zebra has been one of our vendors for a long time, providing us with multiple features and capabilities to their hardware. When we introduced the driver program through my delivery and EDB for our customer delivery or last-mile delivery. The important thing for us was to communicate with the drivers, and the commercial parcels sit behind the desk. So we’ve been using Push to Talk for the drivers. Whenever there is an emergency when whenever there is a change in their order change in their delivery, they have to communicate back and forth in order to serve our customers better,

Versatile Pro integrates with the BlueFletch Launcher. Could you talk about the advantages of bringing those two pieces together?

So BlueFletch Launcher helps us to securely authenticate and authorize our team members to log in. So that we can have profile-based access so the drivers can utilize what exactly they are intended for. So the apps that are available for the drivers. So once they use the BlueFletch launcher, they are securely logged in through Okta. And its system integration is so good that we don’t have to worry about what the actual role of the team member is so that they can be assigned to a specific use in our apps.

What’s the feedback from the team members out in the field and the business impact of rolling out the BlueFletch Launcher and providing the drivers the ability to communicate with the stores?

Advanced Auto Parts
So the, technology makes a big difference for anything nowadays, especially for Store team members. So when we have new mobile devices for our deployment for my delivery, which is a program that’s serving our customers’ last mile delivery, for all the workshops, everything we are delivering from our stores, every delivery, we have more than 300,000 deliveries per day being executed. And that’s actually going through the, you know, the Zebra mobile devices. So the start of any driver’s shift that comes into the store, they will pick up the mobile device and then use the BlueFletch Launcher to log in using our Okta integration to get to the device. And they can have a suite of apps they need in order for them to perform their job. So it could be the delivery app, which lets them know that they have a delivery they need to dispatch, including where to pick up and drop off, which customer to drop off to any kind of communication that needs to happen in between while they’re driving to the customer’s location. So the CPP, which is the commercial parts program, sits behind the desk and talks to the drivers and says, while you’re at this customer, can you go and pick up the returns or the batteries or course so that you can serve the customer better.

I definitely appreciate your time. Really grateful for you being such a great partner. I know I hear a lot about you from Gina and the team. You all work really well together, and although this is our first time meeting, like for the last two years, it’s always been noted AP, so if you know anything, let us know. And I know how it is in one of those deployments and that things are not going the best, so thankful.

Nowadays, the BlueFletch team is pretty amazing. So you know, we started with the BlueFletch Launcher, but I’m using the BlueFletch team to actually build me some inventory apps that are going to be used in our stores to improve our inventory accuracy, you know, scan tracks and all kinds of other things. So we are in for a long haul with you guys. So we’ll see more.
