ATLANTA (July 26, 2016) – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), one of the nation’s largest state trade organizations dedicated to technology and innovation, recently recognized Richard Makerson, Managing Partner, BlueFletch as a Diversity Game Changer in Technology in the latest issue of Hub Magazine.

Georgia is fast becoming the place for women and minorities in the tech industry. Atlanta is among the Top 50 Cities for Diversity in STEM and ranks #3 of the top 5 Cities for Minorities in Computing. The Diversity in Tech Issue of Hub Magazine celebrates the state’s inclusive ecosystem for innovation.

The Diversity Game Changers in Technology list identifies minority and women innovators who are leading the Peach State’s technology industry.

Through Richard’s leadership, BlueFletch has initiated a program aimed at targeting underemployed women from underrepresented communities. Currently focused on application quality assurance, participants in the program develop deep technical skills and experience on enterprise projects so they can ultimately transition into tech careers.

In addition to the Game Changers list, the issue features Teresa White, President of Aflac U.S. on the cover, profiles South Metro Atlanta’s Fayetteville, GA; showcases Georgia’s election technology upstarts and provides a recap of the biggest technology headlines and more.
